Connect via Bluetooth

Step 1: Open Bluetooth function on both smartphone and laptop.

• For laptops, press the Windows + I key combination to open the Settings window on the screen. Next, go to Bluetooth and other devices , then choose to open Bluetooth .
• For phones, enabling Bluetooth will vary from phone to phone , but it’s usually located in Settings under Connections .

Step 2: Reconfirm the connection by clicking OK to connect from a notification that will pop up on your smartphone screen.

• On Windows Wo Mic , you select Bluetooth as the Transmission type and select your phone in the device list then press OK .
• On the WO Mic smartphone app, tap Settings , tap Transmission , and select Bluetooth . Return to the screen and tap the play icon to start casting your voice.

Connect via USB port

The USB connection method only applies to smartphones using the Android operating system .

Step 1: Connect your smartphone to your laptop with a USB cable . You can use a separate USB cable or use your own smartphone charger.

Step 2: Go to Developer Options in your laptop’s settings, turn on the “USB debugging” mode so that your smartphone is connected to Windows.

Step 3: On the Windows WO Mic program, select USB as your Transmission . Click OK . On the WO Mic smartphone app, tap Settings , tap Transmission , and select USB . Return to the screen and tap the play icon to activate your microphone.

Connect via Wifi

For this connection method, both your smartphone and laptop need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network .

Step 1: To change your Wi-Fi network on Windows, press the Windows + I key combination to open Settings and access Network & Internet , select the WiFi item.

Step 2: On the WO Mic smartphone app, tap Settings , tap Transmission , and select Wi-Fi . Go back to the screen and touch the play icon , a gray banner message will appear , this is the IP address .

Step 3: On the Windows WO Mic program, select Wi-Fi as your Transmission type, then click OK . In the server’s IP address field, enter the IP address from the Wo Mic app on your smartphone. Click OK to start using the microphone.

Connect via Wi-Fi Direct

Connecting via Wi-Fi requires you to turn your smartphone into a Wi-Fi hotspot and use your network data.

Step 1: Create a mobile hotspot from your smartphone. How to do this will vary from smartphone to smartphone, but most often it will be enabled in the Settings section, under the Connections or Sharing category.

Step 2: Link your laptop to this hotspot . Press Windows key + I to open Settings , go to Network & Internet , select WiFi and select hotspot.

Step 3: On the Wo Mic app on your phone , tap Settings , tap Transmission , and select Wi-Fi Direct . Then go back to the screen and tap the play icon .

Step 4: On the Windows Wo Mic program, select Wi-Fi Direct as your Transmission type. Leave the soft AP IP address field default to 192.168.43.1 . Click OK and you can use the microphone for your laptop.

How to tell if your laptop is receiving your voice?

If you follow the instructions above but the microphone still can’t work or can’t make a sound , then you probably have some error that prevents the laptop from receiving your voice.

Step 1: Press Windows key + I to open Settings . Go to System , go to Sound . Under Input, use the drop-down menu to select Microphone (Wo Mic Device) .

Step 2: Speak into your smartphone and you will see the volume reflected on your laptop’s Microphone Test Bar .
