This wikiHow teaches you how to watch DVDs on your Windows computer using VLC media player. Currently, Windows 10 does not have a built-in option that allows you to watch DVDs, however, you can download VLC player for free to play DVDs and watch videos. If your Windows computer does not have a built-in DVD player, you will have to purchase an internal or external DVD drive to view DVDs.

Click Finish when prompted. The window will close and the installation is complete. Now, VLC media player is installed on the computer.

    • Windows Media Player no longer supports playing DVDs.
