Draw half a heart shape on the paper. The line in the center of the heart is the crease line of the top paper. The curved outline of the heart will be drawn slightly beyond the edge of the paper opposite the crease line.

Cut along the contour just drawn. Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut out half a heart shape. When cutting, keep the folds straight.

Keep the two straight edges on either side of the heart. If you try to round off the part next to the heart, you will break the entire sequence of shapes.
