How to make 4D jelly birthday cake
Step 1Cook the jelly and prepare the color
First, we put the corn and fresh milk in the blender and puree it. Then put on the stove to boil with washed pandan leaves on medium heat. After, we cook for another 2-3 minutes and then turn off the stove, use a sieve to filter the mixture to get the water and then remove the body.
Next, we add 200ml of water, 200ml of whipping cream, 200g of sugar to the pot of filtered water above, then stir the mixture. We continue to add 22 grams of jelly powder and stir to dissolve (leave about 3 grams of jelly powder and 1 teaspoon of sugar to make jelly paste).
Bring the prepared mixture to a boil over low heat , cover the lid ajar, and alternately stir the pot to avoid clumping. When the mixture boils, turn off the heat and pour the mixture into a round mold . You remember to comb it once so that the jelly is smooth and delicious to eat. Then put the jelly in a cool place and wait for the jelly to freeze.
To create color we can use the following foods: Create green using pandan leaves, orange use carrots and red use beets. You need to clean the ingredients, cut them into small pieces, then grind them to puree, squeeze out the water, set aside. Thus, we have prepared 3 colors to make flower-shaped jelly and decorative leaves.
Step 2Cook jelly in water
Put 1.2 liters of water, 150 grams of sugar into the pot and stir well, then slowly add 25 grams of jelly powder , constantly stirring until the mixture is dissolved. Return the pot to the stove and bring to a boil over medium heat until the mixture is completely dissolved. Close the lid slightly and stir well and skim off foam if any.
Step 3Pour the jelly into the mold
Ladle the cooked agar juice into 2/3 small cups , set aside to wait for the jelly to freeze completely to make a floating flower stand on the cake.
Next, scoop about 500ml of jelly into a large glass or bowl, then add 2 tablespoons of condensed milk and 50ml of pandan leaf juice , and mix well. Pour 1/2 of the mixture just made into a long mold and wait for it to freeze. This part is for making decorative branches.
The rest of the jelly you put in the leaf-shaped silicone molds. Ladle about 1 cup of jelly juice, then add 1/2 tablespoon of condensed milk and add 2-3 tablespoons of carrot juice and mix well.
Ladle this mixture into a rose-shaped mold and wait for it to freeze. Do the same with the beetroot juice.
Step 4Shape and attach flowers to jelly cake
After the jelly is frozen, we gently remove the mold and put it in a larger bowl. Then pour the jelly water around to fix the cake.
Next, take out the green jelly that has been poured in the long mold. Use a stiff straw to gently pierce the jelly to create long strands to form branches. You do the same about 8-9 trees.
Remove the flower and leaf jelly from the silicone mold. Use your hands to separate gently so that the jelly does not break. Boil a little more jelly water in it and then spread some on the cake to stick the base of flowers and branches. Then put the flower patch on it, stick the prepared branches in turn, and apply more jelly to stick the branches.
Apply jelly to the base of the flower to stick the flower on it, then use a toothpick to fix it. Sprinkle more jelly on the corners of the flowers so that they stick to the base. Similarly, you arrange and decorate the remaining jelly flowers to look beautiful.
Step 5Finished product
Finally, you attach the leaves to the gaps and sprinkle the jelly juice on it to stick. Keep the jelly cake in the fridge for 30 minutes , then take it out and remove the toothpick in the order it was inserted.
