Create folds

Start with a square sheet of paper. You can use origami paper or fold any paper diagonally from one corner to the opposite edge and cut off the excess. It is important to use square paper to fold the box.

Advice

For best results, fold the paper neatly. For each fold, carefully line up the edge or corner where it needs to be folded, then fold tightly.
You can apply some glue to the triangular fold at the bottom of the box to keep it in place, or you can use duct tape.
Fold the paper diagonally in the first step, along with the straight fold. This will help a lot in the following steps.
Make the lid of the box by stacking another similar box.
If you use colored paper on one side, you will start folding with the colored side of the paper underneath.
